The reporter Angela Vidal, accompanied by Pablo, his camera, is preparing to make a report for the program "While You Sleep", dedicated to firefighters, trying to portray their daily lives. 

The night does not promise too many emotions until they receive a warning for what seems like a routine rescue intervention of an old woman who lives alone and who has fallen. When they arrive, the police are waiting for them, who enter with them to rescue the old woman, whom they find bloodied and whom one of the police tries to calm down, being bitten by her in the neck, falling seriously wounded, for what they try of taking him to a hospital, meeting when he arrives at the portal where the building has been surrounded by the police and sealed for security reasons that nobody explains to them.

 And while one of the neighbors, a practitioner attends to the police, a firefighter falls down the stairwell while they hear screams that lead them to climb back to the old woman's floor, where they discover another dead woman, so, when they see that the old lady is going to jump again towards them shoot her killing her.

 Without breaking the isolation, from the outside they let in a health agent to take care of the sick, dressed in a suit of special protection against epidemics that attends the bitten policeman, who suddenly revives and throws himself in the neck of another man .

 Enclosed both in an annex, the sanitary explains that there is a protocol of biological threat because the dog of one of the neighbors, who went to the veterinarian resuscitated after having died being a carrier of a strange disease that is spread by saliva. Everyone realizes then that this dog was Jennifer, a sick girl, and trying to catch her bites her mother and escapes, so they go up to find her discovering that both the old woman and the other dead woman are no longer where they left them. And after finding Jennifer, she bites the policeman who was trying to catch her, his companions being attacked again by the old woman, although they manage to reject her and escape.

 The survivors take refuge in one of the houses, but the health worker, who was already infected, attacks another of the neighbors, forcing the only ones not infected, a firefighter, Angela and the camera that has recorded everything that happened to try to find a Departure going to the president of the community to find the keys to an apartment that has been closed for years and through which they hope to find a way out.
